Heading to Paris on Friday!
Mark and I are taking a much needed vacation… and after considering getaways ranging from Florida to Sydney, we’ve landed on a week in Paris. We’re renting a trendy little apartment for a week, and plan on seeing the city, relaxing, and raising a roof or two.
Mark’s been to Paris a handful of times, but this will be my first trip there. I’ve only been to Europe once before, when we went to London and Dublin with some buddies.
Thanks to Rosetta Stone, I can say “the girl jumps” in French. Not exactly useful - but I look forward to actually finding a jumping girl, so I can proudly point it out to others. Good thing Mark is fully bilingual, so I’ve got a more useful French language resource at my hip.

Oh, mean, nasty Parisians. I’m way more jealous of the snow.
Well, cept for the cheese. And the flan. Ok, and the creme carmel. And maybe the ancient storybook surroundings a bit. Possibly the dark, little self-centered beauties.
Ok, just jealous in general then.
Enjoy Paris! If you want to learn to say some things in French that are more useful than “the girl jumps”, check out Mango Languages at www.mangolanguages.com. There is a ton of free stuff. As a matter of fact, Lesson 5 teaches you how to order drinks, Lesson 6 teaches you how to order food at the restaurant, and there are a ton of other cool lessons that you can do for free. Check it out and let us know what you think.
…hope you guys have an amazing time…how could you NOT? The night clubs are gonna’ be sweeeeeeet!
Hope you bring back tons of new pics for us Bravehound fans, andrew…
have fun
:o)
Although I tend to visit at least once a year, it feels special every time. There are very few cities that are so charming, beautiful and exciting at the same time. Have fun at Le Marais!
I’ve only been to Paris once, for a few days, but it’s such an amazing place. I love it, there are days that I really miss it. Have a blast!
I was in Paris with my partner for a week about mid-February. We stayed at a small apartment colse to Place de la Bastille. It was fantastic!
Enjoy your time there. The Opentour bus is worth it for a quick way to go to all the major sites.
The bars in Le Marais are fun. Raidd is packed on weekends. Do not miss the boys in the showers there.
Amusez-vous.
The weather is just awfull right now but it should be getting better in the coming few days. If you have time for a coffee with one of your parisian reader, I’ll do my best to invite you in a typical place ! Enjoy Paris guys anyway.
You chose Paris over Sydney? Three words…
Shame on you.
Please, upload your Paris vacation…include the jumping girls. Thanks.
