My favorite DJ Kaskake can do no wrong
I’ve been asked more than a couple times, about who my favorite DJ is. Most are surprised to know…. it’s Kaskade.
Why are they surprised? Because his released work is often very smooth and not as aggressive and crunchy like the tunes in my mixes. I find his production and taste just so spot on. Whether he produces smooth tracks like the live version of 4am in the video above, or the BANGING mix CD like his latest, "The Grand.”

Kaskade’s been at the top of my list for a while, too…haven’t ponied up for The Grand yet, but I may have to, now!
This version is, as Adam said, simply gorgeous. Is this the original track? I love the “Adam & Soha Radio Edit” from “Strobelight Seduction” but this is like an entirely different song. I really am at a loss for words on this one… wow.
Sadly, I missed Kaskade @ Webster Hall at the end of April. However, I know for sure I’ll hear a bit of Kaskade’s musical magic when I head out to Webster Hall for Deadmau5 on May 15. Their collaboration on a mix of “I Remember” is another one of my all-time top favorites; they seem to be working together a lot more, too.
And then we have “The Grand”… the signature Kaskade sound on these tracks is amazing, PLUS look at the amazing talent working with him: Dirty South, Deadmau5, one-half of the Swedish House Mafia, and on and on.
Whether its an original track or a remix of someone else’s music, he never fails to turn out something amazing.

Am a hardcore Kaskade fan as well…. have heard him live 5 or 6 times in places all over the US and he never disappoints. This version of “4 AM” is a real treat… incidentally, I read sometime ago that this is his favorite track of his own, so no surprise to see him give it such tender loving care.
