With the change to Wordpress and Flickr, there’s certainly been some bumps… but also some fun new features, too. Like…

Photo Journal - Browse by Tags!
LOVE this. Below every photo, you’ll see a set of tags.. by person, event, or recurring theme. Click that to see every associated photo I’ve taken of you / it over the years… with friendly URLs. Aside from being able to pull up photos of a specific person quickly, tags like Showing Some Skin, Elevating, Holy Vanity! and Andy is a nerd make for a fun way to navigate a photo journal spanning years. It was a lot of work to go through each photo and do this, but going forward… totally worth it.

Ajax Live Search
You’ll see the search in the sidebar… just type a word like “nokia” or something, and watch it narrow the lists of entries without having to refresh the page. Sweet!

Faster Downloads
Got my own host, and it’s serving up mixes as fast as you can handle ‘em.

Ajax Commenting
Add comments to an entry without refreshing or the “type the text you see in the image” verification.

Now, I’m sure not everything is working perfectly… if you do find anything that’s not working how it should be, please feel free to drop a comment.

I’m glad to see that there is power behind the duo. I’m in the process of doing the same now and I’d be interested in find out how the integration of the two went. Do API’s abound? Though admittedly, I’m not excited about having to have a Yahoo! account to get work done.

It took a bit of time, but if you’re a php guru (I’m not) it’ll be pretty easy for you. Overall, I’m very pleased, though. Starting from the ground up, it’s great… it was just the messy transfer for me, after all these years.

That’s encouraging. I’m now excited about some of the work planned for my weekend. Luckily I’ve never been happy w/ my photos application so I didn’t use it much.

Also, great job on bravehound.com. I’ve been reading your site for a while since I bumped into your TA moblog and I look forward to your next gadget review.

Glad you are settling in. There are so many plug-ins for wordpress you can do just about anything you want these days.

Glad you are feeling at home w/the new software.
