Nokia N82 Unboxing video. A messy one.

I’m pretty sure this is my first unboxing. Certainly appears to be.

It’s just a quick and dirty video of me opening my N82 package for the first time. Also decided to give iMovie 08 another chance at a simple video editing job. It’s hard when you’re used to After Effects, to know that you can’t move a title if you wanted to. But it did the job ok, for this sorta thing.

Now I just gotta catch up on a few weeks of backlogged photos so I can get to posting N82 photos!

And, of course, I’ll be reviewing the N82. But after a day of use, I can already tell you to expect great things.

I could make a bad joke about unwrapping a big package, but I won’t.

So what happens to all the old phones you don’t use anymore? And who is your connection at Nokia?! LOL ;-)

    Hey Andrew,
I was wondering since I’m interested in getting a N82 myself, where did you order your phone from?

I got mine Wednesday!! My precious….. Hey, I want to know about your build quality. The phone feels really solid overall but there is this .5mm gap between the side housing and front facia. I can see light coming from inside the phone in the dark or can see light entering the housing from the USB port. It doesn’t creak or anything but the sides do give a little and sound hollow if you run your finger (or face) over that edge. Is your unit like this?

Hey all! So far, this phone is just awesome.

@Patrick, I don’t have that at all on mine, though I heard of N95’s having a somewhat smaller gap you could see light through… mine’s put together quite tight, so sign of so much as a creak so far…

I got mine from an ebay seller, but it wasn’t my favorite experience… I frequent plemix.com, and they’re the first to drop prices when there’s a price drop, so they’re highly recommended.

Old phones, they usually get sold to a friend, but I’ve kept a few… currently I’ve got an N73 and a 7610, but I’ve sold the Sony Ericssons i no longer use.

Hmmmm…I’ll have to try to take a photo of my side gap. Overall I agree the phone is awesome! I’m trying to get used to the OS differences but at least I can report that my dread about lag is pretty much unfounded. The UI is quick! Do you know the country of origin for your unit? I think mine is Singapore?

so which photos in ur album were taken by the N82? All the ones after the shots of the car at your driveway?

I’m interested to compare the N82 flash with that on SonyEricsson :)
