The Summer jam I can’t get out of my head
Beyonce’s little sister Solange has unrealistically big shoes to fill… but I’ll be damned if her single isn’t more fun than most all other tracks coming from the pop powerhouses.
When I hear this little ditty, I can’t help but think of sipping a cool adult beverage, lounging by the pool… it’s Summer in the city, folks!
I dig the video. The whole history in motion theme was really cool!
There’s a great girl group ‘thang’ going on with Solange. Glad she stayed clear of anything sounding like her sister. Went to Itunes and grabbed everything by her. I’m totally loving it all, and you’re right… It’ll be a great summer with her along.

It helps that she can actually sing and she hasn’t been run over by the backtrack. She has beautiful soulful voice. Pop today feels so over produced, like Madonna’s Hard Candy.
This song is amazing! I told my little sister that it should be something she plays for her anniversary with her boyfriend. Totally the summer song. I just hope it catches on more. Thanks for the vid!
