I've always enjoyed your blog and hope I can add 2 cents to this. I think the success of the move depends on your ability to focus your time on this blog. People will continue to come to your blog if you always have fresh content. Fresh content = draw readers = compensate for google search ranks. If you do not have the time to work on the blog, then moving is bad because decrease level of content will not attract additional people to read your blog, compounding the problem of losing your google ranks.
